Pair of Marbled spheres handmade in France.

Terre Mêlée is the art of combining stamped clays that are colored with oxides. This technique dates back to the 18th century where clays are prepared slowly for no more than 3 to 4 plates at a time. Once moulded in their respective shapes, the clay is thinned by scraping, sanded at length before two rounds of firing with a transparent glaze. When complete, the results are these remarkable wonders of earth and fire.

Perfect for a bookshelf or mantle.
